The 2015 Doral-Publix Junior Golf Classic

One of the World’s Largest Junior Golf Tournaments

The Doral-Publix Junior Golf Classic is the premiere tournament for junior golf. Over 690 junior golfers from around the world representing over 45 countries participate in this tournament every year. Contestants not only have to be great golfers but they must demonstrate academic excellence in the classroom.  The winners of the 16-18 Flight are crowned champions and their names are etched into the winners trophy.

Scholastic Achievement Awards

• The George Jenkins Scholastic Achievement Award’ is given to a male player with the highest Grade Point Average in the 16-18 year flight.  This provides many of our young players the encouragement and incentive to do well in academics as well as excel in golf.
  • 2014 Winner:  Juan Jose Guerra Sanoja,  Dominican Republic 
• The Sandra DeLucca Scholastic Achievement Award’ is given to a female player with the highest Grade Point Average in the 16-18 year flight.  This provides many of our young players the encouragement and incentive to do well in academics as well as excel in golf.
