Welcome to The First Tee Miami - Dade Amateur Golf Association
What We Do:
The First Tee provides young people with character-building and life skills lessons using golf as the platform. Through The First Tee, young people discover how skills essential to success on a golf course can also help them flourish in life.Learn more about our chapter
Charlie DeLucca is back with his School of Golf. Applications are now available for the 2015 season and we look forward to seeing you out there! Each camp will be ONE (1) week in length and runs from Monday through Friday each week.
THIS WEEK’S CORE VALUE: SPORTSMANSHIP
Observing the rules of play; winning and losing with grace.
HEALTHY HABIT: HYDRATION
Because 60% of our body is made out of water, our performance depends on being properly hydrated. To perform at your best, drink water often and BEFORE you become thirsty.
RULES AND ETIQUETTE
DID YOU KNOW…? That you may repair an old hole plug or damage to the putting green caused by the impact of a ball, whether or not your ball lies on the putting green. Rule 16-1c.
SWING TIP OF THE WEEK
There are several ways to control distance. Using clubs with varying lofts, adjusting your hand position and swing tempo will make the ball travel shorter or longer distances.
